How's your spelling?

Someone (who knows I'm dyslexic) sent me this link as a joke, but it was actually a pretty interesting little test.

Can you pick the correct answer for the 27 most commonly misspelled words?

  1. ...as long as you beat me, it's all good, right?

For the official record, I got 14 correct, BUT, I was doing it after 2 glasses of wine at 11:30pm at night...

    y'know... 'cause the dyslexia wasn't enough ;)

  3. I had to guess for the "american" spellings. I figured I'd just have to take out an e or u somewhere. I ended up with 20.

We should be more like the dutch, where letters or vowel combinations each only sound one way. Then words would always be spelled the way they sound (and visa versa).

    1. Yeah, I had to guess too, which was probably half the problem when I was that tired :)

Good for you! 20, that's awesome!

  4. I scored 18 correct - fair
which for me is pretty good - I rely on spell check - but you have to recognize the correct spelling on that also. Good test - sending it to Bernie who will prob score 100% if he pays attention...

  6. 63% Once you stare at the wrong answers long enough, you just can't see the right one anymore.
